Our mission
Initiative for Leadership Development & Change exists to empower Nigeria's future leaders — and to back that up with real humanitarian work: healthcare outreach, clean water and sanitation, food security, and education for communities that have been underserved for too long. We do it in a way that earns trust, not just donations.
Our story
ILDC was founded on a simple belief: every individual has the potential to become a leader and contribute meaningfully to society. Since our founding, we've worked to put that belief into practice — running leadership training and youth mentorship, supporting students, and standing behind our communities in moments of need, from malaria prevention to food distribution.
We operate on three principles: integrity, compassion, and commitment to excellence — and a simple rule that has stuck with us since — every project we run publishes its funding, its progress, and its outcomes, in the open, for anyone to see.
